Hello, I’m

I'm an award-winning Executive Producer and Digital Content Consultant with over 28 years of experience creating world-class lifestyle, DIY, travel, and adventure content. I have supervised the production of over 10,000 videos for HGTV, Travel Channel, DIY Network, and Food Network.

These videos can be seen on websites and Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube and TikTok. I also led digital video production for the popular “HGTV Dream Home”, “HGTV Smart Home”, and “HGTV Urban Oasis” franchises for over 15 years. GetGo Studio is the central hub of all of my creative endeavors.

I’ve led all aspects of video production for clients, brands, and agencies. My services cover all phases of the production process, including development, pitching, casting, scouting, writing, pre-production, shooting, and post-production.

I love creating content about food, travel, nature, art, and culture. My expertise includes home styling, art directing, prop shopping, home staging, and organization. Additionally, I create art installations and backdrops for weddings and special events.

A handful of video clips just don’t tell the full story.

Here are some of my favorite projects from the past few years. Enjoy!

That Looks Delicious (HGTV, Travel Channel, Food Network 2016) Alyssa Kopp had an idea for a series featuring restaurants that serve notable food in stylish surroundings. I spun it into a cross-network opportunity combining travel, design, and food, and cast Justin Warner and Tiffany Brooks. We both agree it’s one of our favorite projects.

Design Stories (HGTV 2019-2023) One of my first jobs was sourcing interior designers and scouting their clients' homes for "Interiors By Design", a primetime show on HGTV. Inspired by that work, I created "Design Stories" so the HGTV.com Industry Outreach team could use video to highlight talented designers whose work is featured on the website. Along with touring the spaces and learning about the design, we created companion tip videos covering key SEO topics. This is one of the first "dual format" series we produced, shooting native 9x16 and 16x9/ 1x1 so we could publish versions to a variety of platforms.

Creative Genius ( HGTV 2018) This documentary-style series features people who have made their passion their career. I worked with Grace Does on this series, which we shot in four different cities in just six days.  Moo Business cards integrated into the series and I really enjoyed figuring out how to organically show them off. I'm a huge fan of artists and creators, so the casting process was pure joy.

City Guides Series (Travel Channel 2016-2019) We needed a bunch of content on highly-searched US locations for Facebook and Travelchannel.com. To meet this need, I created the City Guides series, which blended video from our library, UGC content, and freshly shot footage. Marfa, Texas and Las Vegas are my favorite arcs. The picturesque high desert of west Texas is home to the eclectic and eccentric town of Marfa. The typical pre-production and scheduling practices didn't apply here. Email messages were left unread and phone calls went unanswered. So we really had to just get there and explore for ourselves and talk to people in person. Several months after our shoot I basically replicated this trip for fun. In the Las Vegas arc, we showed off lesser-known attractions like the Neon Museum and Seven Magic Mountains.

Birdhouse Hunters (HGTV 2020) This was a great collaboration with Karen Webb, Christina Holbert and the Commerce team.  Birdhouses were trending for commerce, so we thought we'd share some options in a playful way. This was also a chance to use my "easy listening" VO skills.

Surprising the Winners of the HGTV Home Giveaways  I have had the pleasure of working with the winners of the HGTV Dream Homes since 2003. Some years ago, we decided to do the winner surprise as a digital event instead of an hour-long show. Working again with Alyssa Kopp and Karen Webb, as well as with our internal Home Promotions team, we have been able to keep providing big surprises for the winners and the audience. The videos were always a wild ride because we planned and produced them in secrecy.

Insider’s Look series (HGTV 2019-present)  Besides giving sponsors ways to integrate into video, we wanted to satisfy audiences' need for more information about our popular home giveaways. Insider's Look is a follow-doc series that charts the story of turning an empty lot into a fully furnished, ready-to-move-in home in just a few months. It was supposed to be a proof of concept, so sponsors could get involved in the second series. Brands loved it so much that we sold out the entire first series! So much for proof of concept. For brands and audiences alike, this series is a hit.

Dream Home for Your Home Series (HGTV 2019-present) The series was born out of a desire to keep our audiences thinking about home giveaways all year round. I used the ever-popular makeover format, but with a twist- each makeover is inspired by an HGTV Dream Home. This concept appealed to Wayfair, so they signed on right away. This series really shines thanks to designer Brian Patrick Flynn and the team at Flynnside Out.

Suite Stays original (Travel Channel-2017) and updated for TikTok & Reels (HGTV-2022) This social-first series was created to show off awesome places to stay on Travel Channel. The concept was revived for TikTok and Reels, and I shot these myself.

Do’s and Don’ts of I Dos (HGTV 2016) We needed to provide more wedding content to our users, so we made this series. While brainstorming for this series, I immediately thought of the opening scene of "When Harry Met Sally" and the sofa became the focal point. This was a blast to work on with Joe Plummer.

TikTok 12 Days of Giftmas featuring my family and our camper (HGTV 2021) HGTV's first TikTok series repurposed some of our most popular commerce content to support the holiday gift-giving season. I shot these videos with some happy extras who were willing to work for kibble.

HGTV Handmade (YouTube 2013) During the summer of 2013, the Vice President of Partnerships came to me and told me: make a YouTube channel adjacent to HGTV that would draw young people to the brand. The kicker: it had to go live before the end of the year and have 50,000 subscribers.  My colleague Nick Hollensbe and I got to work, figuring out what the best intersection would be for HGTV and this new, younger demo. We attended Vidcon, scouted talent and immersed ourselves in YouTube. We launched in November and exceeded our subscriber goal for 2013. With almost a million subscribers on YouTube, HGTV Handmade has also expanded to Snapchat, Facebook, and TikTok.

HGTV Dream Home 2019 This will forever be a special project for me as that is how I came to live in Northwest Montana. I spent a lot of time in Whitefish shooting content for Honda's "Around the Area" series that featured summer, fall, and winter activities. After the project was over, my partner and I spent the holidays skiing in Whitefish and visiting Glacier National Park. We were both inspired by the gorgeous winter weather and majestic outdoors. Later that year, my partner decided to pursue a new job. I suggestion that he look in Montana. A few months later, he landed an amazing job with a stellar team. Moving trucks hauled all our stuff to Kalispell in April of 2021, and we followed in our little camper with our dogs. And it all started because I had a project in Montana…
